It's been ages since I've been on here, so I thought I'd give everyone a little update on our lives right now!
Samuel is 10 months old! I feel like he's growing up even faster than Jonathan! He didn't start crawling until he was 9 months old, but he really took off when he did. He's actually even cruising already. It always helps having a big brother to watch! He's was 23 pounds, 11 ounces at 9 months and only in the 91% (as oppossed to >97% on his other visits!) His doctor says he's thinning out :) He's wearing 18 month clothes, but has been for about 3 months, so hopefully we'll stay in these for a little while. He also has 8 teeth already! He started getting them at 5 months and we haven't stopped since! He would prefer any kind of food he can feed himself, and gets fussy if you have to feed him for too long. He's still my cuddly little man though, and I love watching his little personality form!
Jonathan is 2 and 1/2 years old! Sometimes I look at him and can't believe how grown he is! He's sleeping in his big boy bed now and only gets out a few times at night :) He is talking so well, and all the time! He is definitely my verbal child. It amazes me the things he says sometimes (ex. last night "I want to go outside to play golf, but no one will take me" in his most pitiful voice - this was after we told him we'd go back out after dinner, btw!) Speaking of golf, it's his new favorite thing. I don't know if it was the trip to the driving range with his daddy in the spring, or the mini golf game at the beach, but he talks about it a lot! He likes baseball, basketball and soccer too, so it might be just another ball to talk about :) His new favorite on TV is a show called Kipper that comes on Sprout. It's a British cartoon about a dog and I don't understand the fascination, but it's mesmerizing for him, and thus helps me cook dinner! He is going to start going to a Mother's Day Out program one day a week starting this fall so I think that will be great for him, and good for me and Samuel to have some time together.
JP is starting his last year of course work! YAY! He did a great job on his qualifying exam (the test you have to pass to continue) and I'm so proud of him! The goal is to get the dissertation done in 1 year after finishing classes, so we can move on with life (our apartment gets smaller everyday!). I would love for moving on to mean to Alabama, but we obviously know we won't be happy unless we're where God wants us.
Nothing new with me! Still working part-time nights at the hospital. I like my job, but it's hard to juggle sleeping and the boys and JP's schedule. It's not ideal, but hey, it works, and it's only for a season! Here are the most recent pictures I have of the boys from a trip we took to my parents' house at the beginning of August.
